Kid’s Music

The needs of the child in the first 5 years of life is for deep bonding and grounding at a soul level. By providing an environment of unconditional love and positive mirroring, yet with firm boundaries, a child learns to trust their inner essence and create. This love and discipline is the foundation that will lead them to a balanced and fulfilling life.

Beginnings:

• For newborns to 3 years
• 45 minute class for parent and child
• 10 to 15 children per class

Through music, finger plays, bouncing, storytelling , dancing, singing, and rhythm tapping, a wonderful bond develops between parent and child.

Kid’s Music & Keyboard:

• 3 to 6 year old class
• 10 to 12 children per class
• Parent participation welcomed but not required
• ear training, music listening, acting, singing, creative movement
• Instrument playing – piano and barred instruments
• Cultural studies: Mexico, German, African, Japanese, Appalachian, Native American
• music binder for artwork and song writing
• 45 minute class

The first 5 years of a child’s life are the most important. Exposing the young child to creativity creates a cellular memory of openness which facilitates better learning in later years. Kid’s Music uses the methods of Kindermusik, Musikgarten, Yamaha’s Music for Kids, and Montessori.
